Clan Castle Troops & Spells

Lend a helping hand! Reach Town Hall 8 with a Clan Castle level 4, and join a Clan to donate troops and spells to Clanmates in need!

If a Clanmate requests reinforcements, a message will appear in the Clan Chat. Use the tabs to choose whether to donate using Elixir/Dark Elixir or Gems, and then select which troops or spells to send to your Clanmate's Clan Castle.

Donation Benefits
Donating troops and spells is beneficial for both you and your Clanmate. As the donator, you will:

• Gain XP

• Gain 20 Challenge Points per day by completing the Daily Donation Challenge

• Receive free Gems by completing certain Home Village Achievements

Donation Tips!

If troops and spells are grayed out, they can’t be donated as they won’t fit in your Clanmate’s Clan Castle.

If a troop’s level indicator is burning, then it is a max-level troop.

You can request troop donations in multiple ways:

• The ‘Request’ button in the Clan Castle menu

• The ‘Request’ button at the bottom of the Army overview screen

• The Clan Castle button at the bottom of Clan Chat

You can specify which troops, spells, and siege machines you want as donations. If you don’t specify any particular troops or spells, your Clanmates can choose what they’d like to donate.

In Clan Wars and Clan War Leagues, troops for your War Base’s defending Clan Castle must be requested separately. You can do this in the War Map.

In Legend League, you can choose to mirror your Clan Castle Troops in your defensive layout.

Attack
You can use these donated troops for:

• Attacking and defending in Multiplayer

• Attacks in Clan Wars & Clan War Leagues

You can deploy these troops once for an attack. Even if some survive, they will not return to the Clan Castle.

In Legend League you can choose to mirror your Clan Castle Troops in your defensive layout.

Defense
You can choose whether to use donated troops for defense by using the ‘Sleep’ or ‘Guard’ option on Clan Castle.

If Guard mode is on, the donated troops will be automatically deployed if your Village is raided and enemies enter the Clan Castle's trigger zone.

Clan Castle Troops are deployed in a specific order:

• Troops that take up the least amount of housing space appear first.

• If housing space is equal, a troop is selected randomly.

• If several levels of the same troop are in the Castle, the lowest-level troops appear first.

Donated troops will only be deployed from the Clan Castle if the Village is under attack by enemies they can defend against. For example, Balloons will not be deployed from the Clan Castle if air units attack the village, as Balloons can only attack ground units.

Only units that have perished will disappear from your Clan Castle. If any units repel the attack and survive the siege, they will return to the Clan Castle. Surviving troops will also regain full health.

If your Clan Castle is empty when it should be full of troops, check your Attack Log by tapping the envelope icon to make sure they haven’t been used for attacking or in a defense. Also, make sure you haven’t accidentally deleted them.

If you’re just missing a few troops, or your Clan Castle can no longer accept donations, it’s because the housing space of your Clan Castle is full. The Troops that do not fit in your Castle are queued for the next battle until you’ve deployed the others.

• Sometimes, network errors and quickly switching between your accounts after donating may cause a loss of troops or the slow delivery of troops.

• Troop, spell, and siege machine levels might be readjusted when donating to clashers with lower-level Town Halls. This is to prevent overpowered Clan Castle Troops from appearing in the defenses and attacks of lower-level Villages.

• You can only deploy troops received as donations once for an attack. Even if some survive, they will not return to the Clan Castle.
